Z Energy is integrating its electric vehicle (EV) charging services into its main app, featured alongside the platform’s time- and money-saving tools.

Through this integration, Z aims to give its customers a seamless and more consistent experience, regardless of what vehicle they’re driving. The company has also been able to enhance the features in the EV charging space, including giving EV drivers the ability to see the progress of their charging processes.

The chain’s goal is to help customers with their journey planning, as it lets them know when a charger will be available for use.

In addition, this feature will also see the removal of the $50 preauthorisation hold for EV charging, which has disrupted the customer experience due to the bank’s responsibility to release their funds. This means customers will only be charged for the actual cost of their charging session.
